Te Kaupapa

Titiro whakamuri kia anga whakamua is a kaupapa
that takes a look back into our unique Te Tai Tokerau
history, whakapapa and narratives to unify our people.
What are the lessons of the past?
How did our tupuna survive pandemics?
What are the learnings so that our current and future
generations do not have to suffer the same devastations?

Māori and Te Tai Tokerau as a people have suffered through
pandemics before, and the questions for today’s generation
may help shift the dial in growing awareness and support for
the protection of our current and future generations.
Anga Whakamua is about amplifying positive and accurate
information to build a Māori resilience to fight the pandemic.
We can’t dispute historical facts!
The kaupapa of Anga Whakamua is centred around a
collection of kōrero, rangahau and historical facts, to
help inform a unique Tai Tokerau narrative about
“Oranga”.
We are committed to sharing empowering
kōrero tuku iho, by Te Tai Tokerau for Te Tai Tokerau!
He mihi tēnei ki te hunga i piri mai ki te kaupapa nei.
Ngā kaumātua, whāea, mātua o te kāinga, tae atu rā
